Collonges-la-Rouge

Le village tire son nom du grès rouge typique avec lequel ses maisons et bâtiments sont tous construits. L’un des 200 villages labélisés « plus beaux villages de France », Collonges est aussi une des étapes d’un des chemins français du pèlerinage de Saint-Jacques de Compostelle passant par Rocamadour.

The village takes its name from the typical red sandstone the buildings were made with. One of the 200 labelized “most beautiful villages of France”, Collonges was a step on one of the french ways to St. James pilgrimage passing through Rocamadour.
