Miller Botanical Garden











Le Jardin botanique Miller était le domaine privé d'Elisabeth et Pendleton Miller. Il est connu pour son exceptionnelle collection de beaux arbres et sa vaste collection de plantes herbacées. Acquit en 1948 par le couple, le site beneficie d'une vue spectaculaire, et d'un microclimat unique qui profite aux 4000 taxons répartis sur les trois hectares de ce jardin unique. Elisabeth Miller était une jardinière passionnée. Son jardin était son refuge et la base pour son travail au service de la communauté horticole de la région de Seattle. Elle a reçu de nombreux prix et médailles pour son plaidoyer pour l'horticulture. Elle fut respectée pour ses généreuses contributions.

The Elisabeth Carey Miller Botanical Garden was the private home and garden of Elisabeth and Pendleton Miller. The garden is known for its exceptional collection of fine trees and shrubs in addition to an expansive collection of woodland herbaceous perennials. The Millers purchased the five-acre piece of land north of the Seattle city limits on a bluff above Puget Sound in 1948. The site commands spectacular views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Peninsula, and offers unique microclimates for growing plants. There are over 4,000 taxa, or different kinds of plants, in the three acres of this uniquely landscaped garden.Elisabeth Carey MillerBetty Miller was an avid gardener.
