Pas d'électricité, pas d'eau courante, des repas le plus souvent possible organiques et cuits au feu de bois, Kolarbyn, à environ trois heures à l'Est de Stockholm dans le Västermanland, se targue d'être "l'hôtel le plus primitif de Suède". On peut les croire sur parole. En bordure de la forêt de sapins, non loin d'un lac, le centre est composé de 12 huttes en bois à l'intérieur rudimentaire.(source : la buvette des alpages)
