Wyntoon is the name of a private estate on the McCloud River in Siskiyou County, California. Built as a secret hideaway for William Randolph Hearst, it was designed circa 1930 by famed architect Julia Morgan, who also designed Hearst Castle. It is now owned by the Hearst Corporation. The name stems from a Native American tribe called Wintu.
