Ptilonorhynchidae / Bowerbird

Bowerbirds (sg. pronounced /ˈbaʊərbɜrd/) and catbirds make up the bird family Ptilonorhynchidae. (...) Bowerbirds are most known for their unique courtship behaviour, where males build a shelter and decorate it with sticks and brightly colored objects in an attempt to attract a mate. I recently read an article in National Geographic about them, and the videos I've seen in the past have been breathtaking! What great inspiration for the installation artist and landscape architect.
